A one-day initiation workshop was organised in Auckland House School, Lakkar Bazaar, Shimla on 18 March 2010. Around 55 students and 18 teachers from various schools in Shimla attended the workshop for Climate EduXchange Programme- II. The interactive workshop focussed on the key aspects of Climate EduXchange initiative. Documentary films produced by schools students from Chandigarh, Delhi and Hyderabad were screened during the workshop. All schools were provided with a copy of the Climate EduXchange resource kit, which comprised of set of flash cards, a time planner, posters, a copy of DVD-documentary films etc, to provide easy to use tools for basic level education on Climate Change. An e-learning module on the topic of basics of Climate Change was also screened for the benefit of the participants. Participants were informed about 5 other topics on which the E-learning modules have been prepared- Energy conservation, Renewable Energy, Sustainable school, Water and 2 modules on Climate change. Setting the ground for Climate EduXchange Phase- II, the workshop highlighted the use of technology for networking, sharing of experiences and learning. |
